Who are we and what the heck are we doing? ~ Sometimes words can be so limiting...The long and the short of it is that we are both a couple of crazy foodies that got inspired by a trip to New Zealand last year where we realized soups can be sold fresh while being fantastic, delicious, and nourishing.  We decided that soup at home in America where the norm is buying cans or boxes on a shelf with an (almost) infinite shelf life just didn't seem right to us.  Actually, it seemed well, embarrassing, and we decided to do something about it.  The other inspiration was an ad we had seen (in the US) explaining how our average foods travel over 2,000 miles.  Not exactly a model based on freshness.  Fortunately where we live here on the Central Coast of California, there are amazing resources to find phenomenally fresh, local, organic produce and this is what our soups are based off.  We wanted the flexibility of creating flavors (and recipes) that highlight our seasons and the brilliant foods that come to us throughout the year.  The support has been fantastic as we continue to venture into unknown territory of soups, but we continually find ourselves using the phrase "food integrity" as our goal is to continue to improve the quality and the integrity of our end product.  Even if we think it can't get any better.

Goals ~ Te Papa Organics goals are included to and not limited to becoming Certified Organic, Carbon Zero, Certified Gluten-Free, and any other certification that our customers find value in. Our production is based on a Just-in-Time model, minimizing our waste while maximizing our efficiency and continually finding ways to increase the integrity of our products.
